Scotland’s Chief Scientist for Health, Professor Dame Anna Dominiczak, supports our efforts to empower all Scots to help shape health research. Using volunteer data, researchers have developed a test to help identify the risk of type 2 diabetes.  Similar approaches could be taken for other common health conditions – generating broad health predictors from a single blood or saliva sample. We need more participants, especially from underrepresented groups, to help prevent diseases as we age. Participants aged 12-18 will receive a £20 e-gift voucher for taking part. Please spread the word!
